Blood Centre Services
Cancer patients need a lot of blood transfusion for variable reasons including surgical treatment, for support during chemo or radiation therapy or due to the underlying cancer itself.
Blood Centre caters to, round the clock, needs of patients by providing safe and quality blood components which meet the standard quality control criteria.
Facilities available:
- Whole blood collection.
- Blood donor counseling and notification.
- Component preparation (Leucoreduced SAGM PRBC, FFP, RDP, Cryoprecipitate, modified blood components like aliquots for pediatric transfusion).
- TTI Testing of all collected blood units by ECLIA and NAT for HIV, Hepatitis and Syphilis to ensure the safety of blood.
- Fully automated Immunohematology Lab which provides facility of blood grouping, minor phenotyping, DCT, ICT, Antibody screening & identification, cross-matching, and ABO Titres.
- Apheresis facility for Single Donor Platelets, Granulocyte Collections, Plasmapheresis.
Supportive role: for patients undergoing HSCT (Bone Marrow Transplants) including PBSC collection and processing, Donor Lymphocyte Infusion and evaluation of immunohematological issues in ABO mismatch transplant.
- Therapeutic Cytapheresis (Leucapheresis, Thrmbocytapheresis).
- Therapeutic plasma exchange.
