Radical Radiotherapy

What is it?

The aim here is to completely cure the tumor by radical radiotherapy with or without concurrent chemotherapy. The aim is to completely eradicate the tumor by delivering the maximum dose to the tumour and minimum dose to the surrounding normal tissues. 

 

Where is it used?

It is used for complete eradication of the tumour. One of the main advantages with radical radiotherapy is that it can help in organ preservation.
